Broken farm land, rolling hills and the famous Battle River and Red Deer River coulees mixed with pasture land holds many trophy class white tail and mule deer.

D&S Guiding has a long standing reputation as a trophy producing outfit. A maximum effort on the part of myself and our staff are guaranteed to all our clients. Guarantee of a trophy, however, is another thing. Until we are able to control the weather, your physical condition and your shooting ability, all we are able to do is give you 100% effort.
Our trophy Whitetail, Mule Deer and the popular Combination Hunts take place throughout the month of November during the rut.
The hunts are set for when game movement is at its peak, ensuring the best opportunity for success for all of our clients
Hunting In Alberta
When We Hunt
Alberta is located in western Canada as seen on the Canada map. Alberta is joined by Montana to the south, British Columbia, Canada to the west, Saskatchewan, Canada to the east, and the North West Territories to the North. Alberta has a population of approximately 2.9 million people with about one third located in metopolitan Edmonton, one third in metropolitan Calgary and the other one third located in smaller cities, towns and rural areas through out the province. Because of the very diverse topography including mountains, foothills, plains, and boreal forest, Alberta offers excellent hunting opportunities for all.
D&S Guiding hunts within the parkland region of the province. The parkland is a transition between the mixed-wood forests to the north and west and the drier prairies to the south and east. Stands of poplar are interspersed with grasslands and meadows, giving areas a park-like appearance. This rich agricultural land possesses black soils and receives ample rainfall.
